The skull cap hugs the shape of your head, so your hairstyle completely changes how you wear it. Here are our tips for each hair type. For the basics (placement, logo, height), start with our guide how to wear a skull cap.

Short or shaved hair
The easiest case: the skull cap sits perfectly on the head and gives a very clean silhouette. Place it one or two fingers above your eyebrows, logo centred, and you're done.
With short hair, every style works, ears covered or out.
Waves
The skull cap can be worn over a durag: the durag protects your waves, the beanie brings the style. Make sure the durag lies flat to avoid bumps under the beanie. Without a durag, wear it slightly higher on the forehead so it doesn't press too hard on your hair.

Braids and twists
With cornrows, wear the skull cap as usual: slide it on from the forehead and pull it back.
With long braids, you have two options: let them come out at the back under the beanie, like here, or tie them back before putting it on. The first looks more natural, the second cleaner.

Locs
Let your locs fall under the back edge of the skull cap, or bring a few to the front, like here. The beanie stays fitted on top of your head and frames your face.
If your locs are voluminous, leave a little room on top rather than forcing it.

Long hair
Leave it down under the beanie, like here, or tie it in a low ponytail.
Avoid a high bun, which stretches the skull cap and breaks the clean line that makes it worth wearing.
Taking care of your skull cap
- Cold wash, ideally by hand or on a delicate machine cycle.
- No dryer: let it dry flat, in the open air.
- Wash it regularly if you wear it often, especially with hair products.
All our skull caps are made of polyester, one size, with the PRESTIGE double logo at the front and back. To choose your colour, read our guide which skull cap to choose for your outfit.
